Technology Product Manager – eCommerce & Retail Systems

Location: Detroit/Hybrid

 


Position Summary:
 We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Technology Product Manager to support eCommerce and Retail systems within our technology portfolio. This role will focus on digital commerce platforms and retail operations, ensuring seamless customer experiences and optimized backend processes. The ideal candidate combines product management expertise with hands-on knowledge of eCommerce ecosystems and retail technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the eCommerce and Retail technology product roadmap, aligning priorities with revenue growth and customer experience goals.
  • Partner with business leaders across eCommerce, Retail, and Customer Service to define and deliver technology enhancements.
  • Support and optimize platforms including Shopify, Tap Cart, Avalara, Loop Returns, and Global-e for international eCommerce.
  • Oversee website merchandising enablement, digital asset management systems, and content workflows.
  • Ensure seamless integration with ERP systems (including NetSuite) for order management, revenue recognition, and gift card processing.
  • Enhance customer service tools and workflows to improve post-purchase experience and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions on time.
  • Use tools such as Click-Up and SmartSheet to manage priorities, track deliverables, and communicate progress.
  • Provide regular reporting on product performance, KPIs, and project updates to stakeholders and leadership.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in product management or a related technology role.
  • Strong understanding of product management frameworks, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and software development lifecycles.
  • Hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) and supporting tools such as Avalara, Loop Returns, and Global-e.
  • Familiarity with digital merchandising, DAM systems, and customer service platforms.
  • Experience with ERP integrations, particularly NetSuite, including revenue recognition and gift card workflows.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams effectively.
