Summary:

The Product Manager reports directly to the Director of Marketing. The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

  • Develop sales and marketing tactics to include but not limited to brochures, trade advertising,training manuals, show materials and other collateral materials with input from Marketing andSales.
  • Support sales education with updated materials and communications on an ongoing basis.
  • Analyze and report on a regular basis market trends, sales and competitive information and itseffect on the performance of the portfolio.
  • Pursue product line extensions, labeling revisions, clinical studies and any other activities whichwould ultimately build the value of the product line and maximize product line earnings.
  • Routinely communicate with the sales force regarding product updates and availability,competitive activity, sales positioning, best practices, and new product development updates.
  • Develop rationale and make recommendations to management on pricing, manufacturing,packaging, distribution, promotion, market research, regulatory, legal and any issue whichimpacts product responsibility.
  • Develop and expand technical knowledge necessary for product line management and customerinteraction.
  • Remain abreast of the market, the competition and the environment. Act as an informationresource to all functional areas. Identify key competitors, understand and analyze the competitivemarket environment and act to position Chemence as the preferred product supplier.
  • Identify and propose new projects which will enhance the performance of the product line,broaden the offerings and maximize the product line earnings.
  • Maintain active contact with key industry leaders/medical personnel regarding clinical researchas it relates to current and future product requirements.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and product
  • Follow procedures for good clinical practices and Design Control when participating in newproduct development and clinical activities. Fully adhere to all applicable FDA regulations,international guidelines and Chemence policies at all times.


Education and Experience:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, business, biological/clinical science, or engineering; or possesses equivalent clinical qualifications.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years overall business experience in Product Management in the medical device marketplace or a minimum of 3 years of marketing experience with additional experience in medical device engineering and/or sales.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing products including meeting revenue and profit objectives

  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Superior organizational, time-management and research skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to deal with multiple levels of sales, sales management, operations, and customerpersonalities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Assist with design, management & execution of key sales support activities (KOLs, referencesites, prospective customer experiences, CE/other educational activities, trade shows & industryevents)
  • Collaborate with global marketing and sales to develop, refine and execute trade show & eventsstrategy; oversee and direct trade show activities, messaging, user/society meetings andsymposia related to assigned products.
  • Consolidate VOC (Voice of Customer) needs in collaboration with Sales, Business Development,and Service teams, particularly for Myeloma portfolio of products / customers identifying asprimary users of same
  • Work with Sales team to suggest and develop reference sites capable of speaking to the value &impact of implemented solutions
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leadership to develop product training (both onboardingand ongoing) of local sales staff and other key stakeholders on value proposition and supportingmaterials
  • Create business models and analyze competitive landscape
  • Develop and monitor data-driven analytics
  • Mentor employees to help them achieve individual & team objectives
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Strong teamwork capability and must be able to work cross-functionally.


Physical Demands:

  • Position requires walking, standing for prolonged periods, occasionally required to sit, climb, orbalance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. May frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds andoccasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.


Work Environment:

  • Non-temperature-controlled warehouse, non-temperature-controlled production floor,temperature-controlled office.
