The Regulatory Product Manager will formulate and implement AMVAC product registration strategies for new and existing products that support the business in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) & APAC (Asia-Pacific). The Manager will monitor new and existing regulations and communicate potential opportunities and threats to the company management across all functions (manufacturing, R&D, legal, sales, etc.). They will ensure that all company products (pesticides, bio-stimulants & fertilizers) in the region remain in compliance with current regulations.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the registration portfolio of all AMVAC products in the region including preparation, submission, and defense via high quality regulatory dossiers (technical, efficacy, toxicology, environmental)
  • Address requirements to maintain registration of products in the region (OECD, TSCA, CODEX, etc.)
  • Communicate and liaise with diverse Regulatory Authorities on all aspects of product registration, in particular, negotiate and expedite submissions through the proper regulatory systems
  • Direct and compile the generation of appropriate documentation to Regulatory Authorities covering new registrations, label expansions and product defense
  • Liaise with Sales, Product Development and Business Development and other AMVAC departments to evaluate potential (product) acquisitions
  • Represent the company with external customers (i.e. Task Forces, Regulatory Authorities, Distributors etc.) in the region

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of successful experience in managing (agrochemical) regulatory affairs, with experience in EMEA & APAC Required
  • Master’s degree in a scientific discipline such as, Biology, Chemistry, (Eco-)Toxicology, or Microbiology or other natural sciences related fields is required. PhD a plus
  • Experience preparing, submitting and monitoring applications to regional regulatory organizations (OECD, TSCA, CODEX, EPA, PMRA)
  • Regulatory experience with biopesticides or green chemistry products, is a plus
  • Demonstrated participation in regulatory policy advocacy committee or trade associations leadership
  • Ability to formulate and implement successful strategies for obtaining & maintaining registrations of AMVAC’s products portfolio
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve common goals & objectives in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Work under pressure and multitask in a deadline-driven environment
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, TEAMS, Outlook. Smartsheet a plus!
  • Fluent in the use of database software (e.g. MS Access, excel), desktop publishing software; Environmental / tox modelling software 
  • Remote position – requires ability to Travel internationally (10-20%)
  • Language - Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages relevant to the region is a plus)
