PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Product Manager is responsible for the company's product strategy, creation, and feature definition. They identify customer needs and business objectives that a product or feature will fulfill, articulate what success looks like for a product, and oversee the product lifecycle by leading and collaborating with product development teams. 

Responsibilities

  • Customer discovery: Engage in customer research by gathering insights, identifying customer needs, documenting requirements, and analyzing feedback. Translate these findings into actionable projects.
  • Solution design: Work closely with engineering and design teams to develop high-quality solutions that balance customer needs with business objectives. Create visual aids like wireframes and workflow diagrams to visualize your solution intent.
  • Project execution: Drive execution of product features, including writing product documents, defining features and user stories, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery to meet our commitments. Ensure project milestones are completed and documented.
  • Customer engagement: Serve as a key point of contact for customers on assigned projects, ensuring smooth collaboration and clear communication throughout the product lifecycle. Coordinate user acceptance testing scenarios with our customers and provide feature demos to the customer and business leaders.
  • Product strategy: Contribute to customer research and product roadmap development for your feature areas. In partnership with senior product leaders, assist in defining priorities and shaping the long-term strategy.
  • Product knowledge: Be the expert on your product and your customers. Understand your customer workflows and context in depth. 
  • End-to-end ownership: Ensure a successful delivery to market for new features by defining success metrics and leading the team to achieve milestones and deliver exceptional outcomes. Engage with customer support teams to understand customer pain points and identify improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience: You have demonstrated experience in software product management, building, delivering, and learning about products designed for web and mobile platforms. You understand the technologies they're built on and how to design application workflows.
  • Customer focus: Passionate about understanding user pain points and delivering impactful solutions.
  • Technical fluency: Engaging in technical discussions with engineers and bridging technical teams with business goals. You understand the elements of your product’s tech stack and are familiar with the SDLC. You are comfortable exploring data using query languages like SQL and tools like Mixpanel.
  • Strong product sense: You appreciate great software experiences and strive to build high-quality products.
  • Collaborative team player: You thrive in cross-functional environments, working effectively with engineers, designers, and go-to-market teams.
  • Clear communicator: You can articulate complex ideas in a simple and structured manner, both in writing and in conversation.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, you excel at managing multiple tasks and ensuring projects stay on track and stakeholders remain aligned.
  • Growth-oriented: You have a learning mindset, seek opportunities to develop your skills, and take on increasing responsibility.
  • Business-aware: You understand how product decisions impact business outcomes and contribute to revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience working in healthcare is not required but is helpful and preferred. Understanding the business constraints in a healthcare delivery environment, including security, compliance, legal, privacy, and revenue cycle.
