Role Overview
Lynx is seeking a Product Manager – Edge Product Line to own and drive the inbound product management function across our Edge software portfolio.
This role is deeply execution-oriented and engineering-facing. You will translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, product requirements, and prioritized backlogs, ensuring predictable and high-quality delivery. You will partner closely with Engineering to turn complex system-level requirements into well-defined, shippable increments aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of architecture, execution discipline, and cross-functional alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Roadmap Ownership & Execution
- Own and maintain the multi-release product roadmap for assigned Edge products.
- Translate company strategy and market requirements into clearly scoped, prioritized releases.
- Balance customer commitments, technical debt, platform evolution, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive roadmap reviews with executive leadership and engineering.
Requirements Definition & Product Documentation
- Author and maintain product feature backlog feature specifications, and system-level requirements.
- Break down complex platform capabilities into structured epics and features.
- Work with engineering to ensure requirements are clear and are understood
- Maintain traceability from high-level requirements through backlog items and release artifacts.
Backlog Ownership & Engineering Partnership
- Serve as primary backlog owner for assigned products.
- Work daily with Engineering leadership and scrum teams to:
- Prioritize work based on business impact and technical dependencies
- Clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
- Make scope tradeoff decisions
- Resolve ambiguity quickly
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning.
- Ensure on-time, on-feature, and on-budget delivery.
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Partner with:
- Engineering (architecture, performance, safety, security)
- Sales & Business Development (customer requirements intake)
- Finance (business case inputs and ROI modeling)
- Marketing (release messaging and enablement support)
- Support customer escalations requiring roadmap or technical clarification.
Lifecycle Management
- Own end-to-end lifecycle from concept through release and sustaining.
- Monitor release performance, adoption, and defect trends.
- Drive continuous improvement across releases.
- Manage deprecation planning and platform evolution.
Compliance & Domain Alignment
- Ensure product plans account for regulatory and certification requirements (e.g., DO-178, safety, security standards).
- Collaborate with quality and certification teams to align development artifacts with audit requirements.
- Maintain awareness of competitive and technology shifts that impact roadmap direction.

Qualifications Required
- 7–12+ years of Product Management experience in:
- Embedded systems
- RTOS
- Hypervisors
- Linux platforms
- Middleware
- Development toolchains and tooling
- Strong technical fluency — ability to engage deeply with system architects and senior engineers.
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Agile development process
- Writing detailed requirements
- Managing epics and user stories
- Backlog prioritization
- Multi-release planning
- Experience shipping complex, platform-level software products.
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills.
- BSEE, BSCS, or equivalent technical degree.
Preferred
- Experience in Aerospace & Defense or Industrial markets.
- Familiarity with safety and security certification environments (e.g., DO-178, IEC standards).
- Experience working in environments handling CUI
- MBA or advanced technical degree.
