The Position

Product Manager - Diatomaceous Earth

Job Summary

Imerys, world's leading supplier of specialty minerals for industry, is hiring a highly motivated and high potential leader to help drive global Product Management for our Diatomaceous Earth business.  You will own, drive, and evolve the product line strategy to maximize profitability of the mineral globally.  Playing a crucial role as the central coordinator of the DE business, working cross-functionally across the entire global business.

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the evolution of our DE product line, developing strategies that maximize profitability and market share 

  • Lead comprehensive P&L management, optimizing every aspect of the business 

  • Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration with Senior Management, Sales, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, R&D, Product Stewardship, and Quality teams

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of the product marketplace by collaborating with sales and marketing teams to comprehend customer needs, competitive landscape, product strengths, weaknesses, and leverage this information to shape strategic direction.

  • Ensure profitable product manufacturing by supporting Operations and Purchasing with rigorous analysis of raw material costs, operating expenses, and asset optimization strategies.

  • Optimize the product mix and pricing strategies for enhanced asset efficiency and maximum margin realization.

  • Spearhead opportunity assessment, prioritization, and development of business cases, providing strategic recommendations for business growth, asset optimization, and M&A opportunities.

  • Benchmark competitors' product portfolios, global reach, strategies, and cost structures to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Champion S&OP processes to ensure production of the right products that meet customer expectations, making tough trade-off decisions when necessary, leveraging your comprehensive business understanding.

  • Serve as a crucial support system for International Sales teams, facilitating the integration of their activities with production and support functions across regions.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and versatility in identifying and addressing unmet business needs, proactively developing solutions to bridge gaps.

Background and experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Finance, Business, or Engineering Degree preferred

  • Minimum 10 years experience working in a strategic, product management, finance, marketing, sales or operations-related function in a cross-functional environment

  • Strong business & financial acumen, and strong data analysis skills.

  • Operations and/or finance experience preferred

  • Able to operate strategically and tactically depending on the need

  • Executive-level communication & presentation skills

  • Proven ability to influence in a matrix environment

**Working out of America's Corporate Office in Roswell GA. Flexible schedule, three days in, two days remote/home approach

**Significant travel, up to +50%. Primarily West Coast US + Mexico, including travel to EMEA and APAC regions.
