About the role
We’re seeking a data driven, detail-oriented and proactive Product Manager to support the execution of our product strategy and drive cross-functional alignment across vendors, marketing, sales, and operations. This role is central to onboarding new products and managing them throughout their full lifecycle from launch to maturity by closely monitoring growth cycles, performance metrics, and market trends. It includes maintaining vendor-related reports, ensuring vendor incentive programs are fully leveraged, and aligning all efforts with corporate growth and service KPIs. The Product Manager will also support the Product Director in driving overall category success through strategic lifecycle planning and cross-functional coordination
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to manage product-related activities from initial setup through lifecycle updates and promotions.
What you'll do
- Manage new product onboarding, including accurate and timely completion of product setup forms and coordination with vendors for data sheets, pricing, barcodes, images, and documentation.
- Monitor the growth cycle of new products and maintain related vendor reports.
- Ensure vendor incentive programs are maximized to align with corporate growth and service KPIs.
- Work with manufacturers to ensure labeling, packaging, and branding compliance, particularly for proprietary brands (logo placement, label accuracy, barcode validation).
- Proactively collaborate with the Marketing team to deliver timely updates on new product launches, modifications, and discontinuations; ensure all promotional materials, website content, and customer communications reflect the most current product information.
- Coordinate internal documentation and approvals required for new vendor setup.
- Maintain accurate pricing updates during product launches and throughout the product lifecycle.
- Communicate product changes, additions, and discontinuations across internal departments to ensure alignment.
- Manage and track vendor promotions and internal product initiatives, providing reporting as needed.
- Prepare and distribute training materials, presentations, and samples for internal education events.
- Maintain a running pipeline of product suggestions for marketing campaigns, contributing ideas that reflect market relevance and customer interest.
- Respond to customer inquiries and internal product-related requests such as inventory checks, samples, and product specifications.
- Partner with internal teams to maintain product accuracy on internal systems and external websites.
- Develop and deliver product training sessions for Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs), and other key internal teams to ensure product knowledge, positioning, and selling points are clearly understood and consistently communicated.
- Track, analyze, and report on key product and vendor performance metrics; provide regular KPI updates to leadership to inform decision-making, identify trends, and support ongoing product strategy and improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate the shipment and logistics of products for tradeshows, events, or training engagements.
- Maintain a working knowledge of products, their uses, and competing alternatives in the marketplace.
- Support ad hoc projects and cross-functional tasks as assigned by the Product Director.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2–4 years of experience in product management, merchandising, or product operations
- Proven ability to manage a demanding workload while being highly detail oriented.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and urgency
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Familiarity with vendor coordination, product data management, and B2B processes
- Working knowledge of Excel, inventory management tools, and ERP systems
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams
- Experience in the signage, automotive film, or specialty materials industries is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability for overnight travel up to 10%
