Position Title: Product Manager

Reports To: Senior Manager – Product 

Installation Made Easy (“IME”) provides software and process management that enable retailers and contractors to offer installed home improvements to homeowners in a convenient, consistent, and affordable manner. IME senior management has over 100 years of retail management and home improvement industry experience.

The Product Manager (PM) is primarily responsible for documenting requirements for system enhancements, new features or bug fixes. The PM will interact with all departments within the company, including Software Development, Program Development, Project Management, Operations as well as with Executive Management. Additionally, the PM will have the potential to interact with Retailer and Manufacturer representatives and third-party vendors.

The candidate must be independently motivated, diligent with details, and precise in their work. Accuracy is a requirement, not an option. Furthermore, the candidate must have the ability to understand a process from beginning to end, ask questions, and think through obscure situations. The candidate must be able to work independently in a remote environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to define and document requirements for system enhancements, new features or bug fixes;
  • Identify potential unintended impacts of requests and/or additional specifications needed;
  • Work closely with development team to create workable tickets by defining Issue, Impact, Steps to Reproduce, Resolution, and Acceptance Criteria;
  • Act as liaison between development team and business team to resolve blocked or on-hold tasks;
  • Communicate bi-weekly releases. 
  • Document business/system rules and processes; and
  • Perform End User Testing of system enhancements, new features or bug fixes as needed.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 2-4 years of experience as a Product Manager or Business Analyst within software development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field;
  • Experience customizing or building CRM systems 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn new or updated software.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
