Product Manager  

The Product team at ServiceChannel is responsible for our core platform, bringing innovative solutions to customers seeking to find service providers, plan repair and maintenance work across multiple sites, invoice providers, and analyze the effectiveness of the work. They are also tasked with driving key features that help our customers manage the work of their own in-house technicians. Expect growth on this team, as we encourage taking risks, failing fast, and taking on projects that not only drive our product forward, but that you feel passionately about as well. While you may not have experience in Facilities Management, you know how to build complex software and are ready to gain the domain expertise required to become a hands-on leader! 

 

In this highly visible role, you will be working with your peers and senior management to influence, guide and grow enhancements to our platform! You will frequently work directly with customers and partners to understand their requirements from a business and technical perspective, and you will define and drive the product strategy and roadmap that will help us scale our business as the leading Facilities Management software company. We are hands-on product managers who drive implementation and vision and are seeking someone eager to work alongside an impactful team. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Product Management 
    • Drive initiatives through innovation processes to reduce uncertainty, validate investment opportunities, and ensure alignment with strategic goals. 
    • Develop, execute, and maintain product roadmaps for ServiceChannel’s suite of products, leveraging a wide variety of inputs across customer research, internal & external data, subject matter experts, and more 
    • Develop high-level product requirements documents for each roadmap project that can be further fleshed out by Technical Program Managers and built by engineering 
    • Apply a commercial mindset to all projects to ensure everything we do drives revenue growth 
    • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders and organizational leaders 
    • Tailor communication approach to different audiences, such as conveying technical concepts to engineering teams vs commercial strategies to sales teams 
  • Project / Release Management 
    • Efficiently and regularly communicate project status and updates to internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including the executive management team 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful, quality, and timely project execution 
    • Define the roll out strategy for each project on the roadmap, such as customer beta phases, timing of general availability, consideration of geographic availability, collaborating with product marketing on messaging, etc. 
    • Define strategies to measure the success of product initiatives, and incorporate learnings back into roadmaps 

 

 

 

Required Skills & Experience 

  • 3+ years product management experience in a SaaS company 
  • Proven experience developing both web and mobile products 
  • Experience in employing a range of user research methodologies, including customer interviews, surveys, and data analysis 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions evaluate outcomes and challenge conventional wisdom. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with track record for delivering results in fast-moving and demanding environments 
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities 

 

 

 

Preferred Skills and Experience 

  • Demonstrable knowledge of facilities management and/or service provider companies and markets 
  • BS or BA or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, math, finance, economics, or related 
  • Experience in Agile development practices
