Product Manager

Tread
Full-time
On-site
San Francisco, California, United States

About The Role

Tread’s product roadmap has been founder-led and deeply customer-driven. As adoption of our product accelerates, we need a strong Product Manager to help prioritize customer feedback, communicate product developments, and contribute to product execution with engineering.

This is a full-stack product role. You’ll be responsible for:

Writing clear and effective tickets

Creating rough wireframes and mockups

Crafting intuitive product copy

Engaging with customers, executives, and engineers

Analyzing product usage data to inform decisions

Shaping the roadmap and strategy

AI is a core part of how we work. We expect ingenuity and discipline in using AI to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and accelerate execution.

What to Expect in Your First 6 Months:

Trust at Tread is earned through execution, not assumed. Expect to work closely with the CEO and Designer to drive key product decisions. As you demonstrate strong decision-making, attention to detail, and ownership, your level of autonomy will grow.

At our early stage (<20 people), this role has an outsized impact on both our team and our customers. If you execute well, you’ll quickly establish yourself as a key leader in the company.

Who You Are

  • You love building and shipping high-quality software that feels great to use.
  • You are action-oriented and comfortable iterating through mistakes.
  • You’re excited about AI’s impact on software and want to work on cutting-edge AI applications in a traditional industry.
  • You thrive in an in-person, high-collaboration environment (San Francisco office 4-5 days/week) and enjoy customer-facing interactions.
  • You have 3-5 years of experience in a technical or product role.
  • You understand that product management is one of the hardest disciplines—high effort, high stakes, and high impact.
  • You are humble, eager to learn, and always put the business, customer, and team above personal goals.
  • You have a strong sense of craftsmanship—willing to hold back releases until the experience is right for customers.
  • You are an entrepreneur at heart—whether you’ve started something before or plan to in the future, you want to be as close as possible to building and scaling a company.

Why This is for You

  • You want to grow faster in 12 months than you would in 2+ years elsewhere
  • You want to solve problems, wear multiple hats, and play a direct role in making a company GO
  • You want hands-on experience leveraging LLMs and AI to push the boundaries of modern software
  • You want to build equity while developing the skills needed to become a future leader or founder

Salary range listed does not include equity compensation, which is significant.
