Summary:

The Product Manager is responsible for defining product strategy and implementing products that contribute to the success of the business with measurable impact. This role requires product expertise, a strong executive presence, and technical savviness. It is important that the individual in this role fosters effective cross-team collaboration to enable efficient product delivery using agile methodologies. This role will drive innovation, efficiency, and improve the overall customer and team member experience.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Defines and communicates a Product’s vision, strategy, and roadmap addressing business objectives, customer feedback, and the competitive landscape.

  • Develops a Product’s phases and execution plans including the Minimum Viable Product to ensure value is delivered incrementally to achieve the vision and business objectives.

  • Creates high-quality Product presentations, artifacts, and demos to gain alignment; references business goals and important metrics where applicable.

  • Effectively communicates with both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Guides product direction for a cross-functional team of design, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure execution to plan.

  • Measures Product performance by clearly defining, tracking, and reporting on success metrics.

  • Optimizes Product performance by eliciting feedback and identifying Product enhancements.

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position is an individual contributor with no direct reports but may provide guidance, leadership, or training to others.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with both technical and business stakeholders.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field and 5-6 years of experience in a Product or equivalent role or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of UX design principles and best practices.

  • Experience leading a horizontal team with vertical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Mortgage, Banking, Real Estate, or Financial Services

Work Complexity:

Problems and issues faced are difficult and complex, and may require understanding of broader set of issues. Problems typically involve consideration of multiple issues and understanding of the financial/mortgage industry. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues.
