About the Position
We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Manager with a strong background in sports to lead the development and enhancement of our SaaS (Software as a Service) software products. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic vision, roadmap, and execution of our sports-focused software solutions, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our clients and users.
Remote Work / Location
This position is for 100% remote work, however candidates must reside in one of the following States:
California, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, Texas, Washington.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities associated with this role are:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for our SaaS software products.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user feedback analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and product opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders—including customers, sales, marketing, and development teams—to define product requirements and prioritize feature development.
- Own functional product design across our software, defining workflows, user journeys, system behavior, and edge cases, while balancing high-level product direction with detailed, actionable specifications.
- Translate ideas and requirements into developer-ready Jira specifications, including detailed workflows, system behavior, and API documentation, to ensure smooth implementation.
- Proactively identify gaps, risks, and dependencies in functional designs to prevent downstream rework and ensure high-quality, scalable product delivery.
- Work closely with software development teams using Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative software solutions on time and within budget.
- Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as a subject matter expert for our sports-focused software products, providing guidance, training, and support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to sports software, incorporating relevant insights into product planning and development.

Skills & Qualifications
The key skills and qualifications associated with this role are:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Sports Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner, preferably in the development of SaaS software products with a focus on the sports industry. Experience working in an Agile software development environment, with proficiency in Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. (Technical writing experience a plus.)
- Analytical Skills:Â Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Work Ethic: Self-Motivated, Strong work ethic with proven track record of dependability and consistency with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborative: Ability to gain the cooperation of others in the pursuit of company goals. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills. Deep understanding of the sports industry, including knowledge of sports leagues, teams, athletes, events, and fan engagement dynamics.
