Position Summary: 

We are looking for an experienced Life Science Product Manager who is passionate about managing products that provide real solutions to customers. You will join a growing and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to develop, launch and oversee the full lifecycle of products and solutions focusing in the life science markets.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify, and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, provide solutions to customer issues, and drive growth
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
  • Translate customer feedback into detailed requirements and prototypes for new products
  • Scope and prioritize business activities based on business and customer impact
  • Drive product launches including working with marketing, sales, manufacturing, and quality to make sure product objectives are met
  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
  • Act as a product expert to build awareness and understanding internally and externally through training, webinars, etc.
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
  • Manage the full product lifecycle for the life science products

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline
  • Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager in a highly regulated environment. Life science experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in a technical field
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams and leading without direct authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
