Job Summary:

The Product Manager is responsible for driving the strategic vision, development, and lifecycle management of products from conception to market launch and beyond. This role serves as the bridge between cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success to ensure products meet market needs and business objectives. The Product Manager conducts market research, defines product requirements, prioritizes features, and collaborates with stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that drive user engagement and revenue growth. This position requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to make data-driven decisions while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of user experience, market dynamics, and technical feasibility to successfully bring products to market that create value for both customers and the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and execute the merchandising strategy for your product category.
  • Establish product roadmap.
  • Analyze product requirements and development. Onboard appropriate programs.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to understand success metrics for the product.
  • Lead metrics on competitive analysis and data insights.  Seek opportunities for differentiation. Understand franchisees pain points, assist in defining solutions and bring them to life.
  • Continually iterate to ensure franchisees needs are met and that the product remains competitive and relevant
  • Drive the execution of product lifecycle processes, including product research, positioning roadmap development and product launches
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team of design, marketing and operations to ensure success for the entire organization
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates one manufacture from another
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned 

Required Skills / Abilities:  

  • Specific knowledge and significant experience in the window covering industry.
  • Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets and schedules. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines.
  • Strong experience in a dynamic product management role
  • Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycleAbility to assess and qualify vendors, suppliers, and fabrication facilities to ensure quality standards and production capabilities.
  • Multi-tasking abilities to manage workdays that encompasses dealing with a large number of franchisees with unique questions and challenges.
  • Excellent leadership skills, team player and can demonstrate HFC core values.
  • Positive and pro-active attitude in supporting our franchisees towards success.
  • Training aptitude.
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers and anticipate their needs. 
  • Proficient technology skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time; domestic and international traveling.
Preferred Skills / Abilities:  
  • Experience with outdoor shade solutions (awnings, pergolas, outdoor blinds/shades, etc.
  • Knowledge of outdoor living and exterior shading markets
Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Design or Engineering is preferred, and
  • 3+ years of product management experience in the window treatment industry, or
  • Combination of Education and Experience
  • Proven track record managing window covering products (blinds, shades, shutters, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

  • Light-duty work environment – primarily office-based with minimal physical exertion.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Occasional standing or walking for presentations or facilitation.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Hybrid model – Work from the office on Tues/Wed/Thurs and from home on Mon/Fri.

The pay range for this position is $110,000 - 128,000. Actual pay will be determined by factors including candidate experience and qualifications, education and work location. At Home Franchise Concepts, we offer a highly competitive benefits package designed to support you and your family.
