The Technical Product Manager for eFlex will be responsible for driving sales growth, supporting field operations, and promoting a specialty asphalt product within a designated territory. This role combines strategic sales execution with hands-on field support to ensure product visibility, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
Essential Functions
Sales & Market Development
- Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed sales goals for specialty asphalt products
- Analyze market trends, forecast budgets, and review competitor activities to identify growth opportunities
- Deliver technical value propositions and product education to agencies, contractors, and stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and equipment manufacturers
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
- Understand, provide input for, and promote product specifications
Field Operations Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for field teams, resolving issues and ensuring alignment with company goals
- Conduct site visits to evaluate performance, ensure compliance, and support field activities
- Promote and enforce safety protocols and operational standards
- Be present on projects for advising and documenting
- Track design status and emulsion production and delivery
- Track project progress and provide timely updates
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth and operational efficiency
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to field and sales teams
- Foster a positive team environment and support professional development
- Lead contractor training and development initiatives
Reporting & Compliance
- Track and report on sales performance, field operations, and market conditions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to leadership
- Understand construction plans, bidding documents, plans, proposals, and cost estimates
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred
Experience Qualifications
- 5+ years in sales, field operations, or management roles, ideally in construction materials or related industries
Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Customer-focused with a proven track record in sales and relationship building
- Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and field management tools
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid driver's license is required
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Willingness to travel 30–60% depending on season and project needs.
