Summary:
Anaconda is seeking a talented Staff Product Manager to join our rapidly-growing company. You'll be working on next-generation developer tools that help enterprises better understand and manage their Python environments at scale.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with enterprise platform teams and security leaders to deeply understand their Python visibility challenges
- Conduct comprehensive customer research to uncover how enterprises deploy, manage, and monitor Python across thousands of applications
- Develop product strategy that leverages Anaconda's unique position in the Python ecosystem to solve enterprise-scale problems
- Create positioning documents, product canvases, and PRDs based on validated customer insights
- Work closely with engineering to deliver iterative solutions that can be tested with design partners
- Build relationships with enterprise customers to establish continuous feedback loops and validate product-market fit
- Define success metrics that demonstrate real customer value and adoption patterns
- Analyze competitive landscape in developer tools, observability platforms, and security solutions
What You Need:
- 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in developer tools, observability, or enterprise security products
- Strong technical background with ability to deeply understand Python deployment patterns and infrastructure challenges
- Proven track record of 0-to-1 product development based on customer discovery
- Experience working with enterprise platform teams, DevOps, or security organizations
- Excellence in translating ambiguous problem spaces into clear product strategies
- Data-driven approach with experience defining metrics for early-stage products
- Outstanding communication skills with ability to influence technical and business stakeholders

What Will Make You Stand Out:
- Hands-on experience managing Python in production environments

- Experience with usage-based pricing models and developer tool monetization
- Understanding of open-source ecosystem dynamics and enterprise adoption patterns
- Track record of building products that platform engineering teams love

The base salary range for this role is $216,500 - $282,000 for candidates in New York City and San Francisco, and $162,500 - $187,000 for other US-based team members, along with annual bonus potential, equity participation, and benefits.

Within the range, individual compensation is determined by various factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
