A Day in the Life

The Defibrillation Solutions (DS) business is made up of the foundational businesses of the Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator business (ICD) and the Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Defibrillators (CRT-D) business, and the associated Leads and Delivery Systems. The DS product portfolio is among the largest revenue contributors across Medtronic with an extensive global footprint and exciting growth opportunities.  

 **Candidate will require to be in office min 4 days/week in MN.  Must be able to travel 30%**

As part of the Defibrillation Solutions (DS) Integrated Operating Unit, the Commercial Marketing organization is seeking a bold, self-starter, and action-oriented Sr. Product Manager. The product manager works as part of the DS Transvenous Commercial/Downstream Marketing Team to drive growth in initial implants and exceed AOP across 2 product categories with 2 different market dynamics (transvenous dual and single chamber ICDs and CRT-Ds). This role will enable that growth with a dedicated focus on the defibrillation leads, heart failure leads and delivery systems. Cardiac leads play the critical role in defibrillation systems to sense, pace and deliver defibrillation shocks or antitachycardia pacing to terminate lethal arrythmias. This role will entail a special focus on owning and driving the Conduction System Pacing (CSP) campaign, encompassing the whole portfolio. This role will be responsible for developing and driving the global marketing plan, creating compelling field and customer focused campaigns/initiatives, developing competitive response strategies, engaging with and presenting to key customers, and supporting the field in driving execution. This role will partner closely across the DS Transvenous Marketing Team to drive the portfolio globally through the sharing of best practices, key resources, and partnering where appropriate on global launch, evidence dissemination, or marketing campaign initiatives.

A Day in the Life: 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive growth in initial implants and exceed AOP targets across 2 product categories with 2 different market dynamics (transvenous dual and single chamber ICDs and CRTDs), through the innovative and critical Leads and Delivery system portfolio. 

  • Collaborate closely and lead proactive communication strategy with the US CRM field to drive field focus and execute on plans; provide tools, training, and support to enhance their effectiveness in the field. 

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, field needs, and competitive landscape to inform marketing plans and product/feature positioning; manage and maintain all competitive materials for the portfolio. 

  • Develop and maintain compelling marketing materials, including brochures, sell sheets, presentations, and digital content to support product/feature promotion.  

  • Ensure consistent messaging and positioning of the portfolio, products and features across all sales and customer marketing channels, materials, and training, maintain claims matrix(es) as needed. 

  • Partner cross-functionally across legal, regulatory, clinical, marketing communications, digital marketing, R&D, and sales to drive alignment and smooth execution of marketing programs/strategies. 

  • Develop robust knowledge of the portfolio and be the internal and external champion, working with the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) US field channel and key customers/KOLs to highlight product features/exclusives and disseminate evidence. 

  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed to assess the current business environment and make recommendations to drive acceleration and growth. 

  • Partner closely with the DS Transvenous Marketing team to continuously improve product marketing effectiveness.

Must Have: 

Bachelors degree with 7+ years in marketing, sales, sales support/operations (5+ years with a Masters Degree) 

Nice to Have: 

MBA or advanced degree 

Previous commercial marketing experience 

  • Exhibit a hands-on, high energy, and go-getter style complemented by a team player attitude 

  • Superb relationship building, interpersonal, and communication skills 

  • Project planning and/or process management experience 

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams 

  • Analytical and results-oriented 

  • Healthcare industry experience 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop a strategic plan of action 

  • Comfort navigating ambiguity with ability to develop strategy and gain consensus

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$132,800.00 - $199,200.00

 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
