The Team

The Credit Solutions (CS) team is a distinct business line within the Risk & Valuation Services business unit, dedicated to the commercial distribution of credit ratings, research and related content, from S&P Global Ratings.

The Credit Solutions Product Development Team is responsible for delivering S&P Global’s credit-related data to clients through high-performance delivery channels, including desktop applications, data feeds, APIs, and cloud-based solutions. We work at the intersection of finance, technology, and product strategy, transforming complex credit ratings, research, and market intelligence into structured, reliable, and accessible data.

Our team partners closely with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to design, enhance, and scale our delivery platforms, ensuring clients can seamlessly integrate our data into their workflows. We emphasize innovation, data quality, and performance to meet the evolving needs of global financial institutions, investment managers, and corporate clients.

Joining the Credit Solutions Product Development Team means contributing to mission-critical products that empower clients to make informed credit risk and investment decisions in real time.

Responsibilities & Impact:

Through collaboration with S&P Global Ratings, your work will directly contribute to delivering reliable, timely, and accurate credit risk data to our global customers. You will act as a liaison between product stakeholders, technical teams, and clients, translating business needs into actionable product requirements and developing & maintaining products through its life cycle. 

As a Senior Product Manager for Credit Solutions, you own and develop core components of strategic initiatives and high‑impact deliverables that drive revenue, expand market reach, and enhance client value. You translate complex needs into actionable product strategies and lead execution across the full product lifecycle. Your work enables us to meet the needs of existing clients, displace competitors, penetrate new markets, and deliver differentiated solutions across our delivery channels.

Product Ownership

  • ·       Lead as product and project owner for multiple high‑impact initiatives, collaborating closely with Technology, Ratings, and cross‑functional teams to deliver timely, high‑value releases across channels including desktop applications, Xpressfeed, APIs, and cloud-based platforms.
  • ·       Develop and maintain release plans in alignment with strategic objectives, partnering with the Scrum Master, Dev Manager, and Scrum Team during release planning to ensure clear priorities and predictable execution.
  • ·       Create high‑quality user stories that meet the Definition of Ready; maintain and prioritize a Definition of Ready backlog for upcoming PI iterations.
  • ·       Ensure execution of user stories aligns with release objectives at both the project and team level, driving transparency and alignment with Product Leads, Content Leads, and Project Owners.
  • ·       Collaborate with QA and UAT teams to validate and complete stories on schedule, ensuring product quality and readiness for client delivery.
  • ·       Define user stories to ensure releases meet functional and non‑functional requirements for anticipated client use cases; maintain and prioritize the product backlog accordingly.
  • ·       Partner with Technology to identify blockers, dependencies, and constraints, ensuring product relevance and prioritization are informed by technical considerations and client needs.
  • ·       Maintain clear visibility into the team’s progress and health, ensuring alignment with Product Leads, Project Owners, Technology, and other stakeholders.
  • ·       Provide timely and accurate product health updates that adhere to organizational health‑reporting standards.

Go‑To‑Market Support

  • ·       Monitor industry trends and competitive intelligence in credit risk data products, translating insights into informed prioritization and roadmap evolution.
  • ·       Champion the Credit Solutions product suite internally and externally, serving as a subject‑matter expert and strategic advocate.
  • ·       Represent Credit Solutions in client engagements, gathering feedback, uncovering user needs, and integrating client insights into product development and strategic planning.
  • ·       Develop compelling collateral for new product releases, including external case studies, workflow examples, user guides, presentations, brochures, demos, and training materials.
  • ·       Lead internal product trainings and serve as the primary internal resource on Credit Solutions capabilities, enhancements, and use cases.

 Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $104,710 to $140,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • ·       Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related technical/quantitative discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
  • ·       7+ years of Product Management experience (or equivalent experience in Technical Product Management or Business Analysis) building and scaling data‑centric, API‑driven, or enterprise platform products.
  • ·       Hands‑on experience with credit, fixed‑income, or financial data products, including credit ratings, risk analytics, market data, or related structured datasets.
  • ·       Strong working knowledge of SQL for data validation, investigation, quality analysis, and complex data troubleshooting.
  • ·       Proven experience delivering user interface products.
  • ·       Proven experience delivering products via data feeds (e.g., FTP, SFTP), APIs (REST/JSON), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • ·       Demonstrated ability to work with enterprise-scale technical architectures, including data pipelines, metadata models, reference data structures, and ingestion/transformation workflows.
  • ·       Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks, including user story development, backlog refinement, and PI/Release Planning.
  • ·       Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working closely with engineering, data teams, and financial product stakeholders.
  • ·       Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to translate complex technical and data concepts into clear requirements and client‑oriented outcomes.
