Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is committed to delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud services for AI/ML workloads and AI driven applications. The OCI File Storage Service (FSS) delivers elastically scalable, POSIX-compliant NFS file systems, with robust durability, reliability, and security. FSS is purpose-built to power a wide variety of workloads—including advanced AI/ML training and inference pipelines—demanding high throughput, low latency, massive parallelism, and data management capabilities. 

Position Overview:
As Sr. Principal Product Manager for OCI File Storage Service, you will define and drive the growth of FSS as the preferred high-performance storage for AI/ML training and inferencing. You will work closely with engineering, field, and customer stakeholders to drive product roadmap, feature adoption and pricing strategy for both existing and upcoming new products. In this role you will be responsible for driving the vision and priorities through the highest levels in OCI and with customers.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Own the product lifecycle, focusing on delivering capabilities such as high-performance, 
  • Define and prioritize product features supporting parallel data access, data partitioning, and distributed training for GPU and CPU-based ML clusters.
  • Collaborate with engineering on advanced features such as intelligent tiering, lifecycle management, ransomware protection, data snapshots, and data cloning—enabling rapid experimentation and safe recovery for iterative ML development.
  • Drive technical innovation in areas like:
    • Support for multi-protocol access (NFSv3, NFSv4, SMB).
    • Enhancements to file system metadata operations required by AI/ML frameworks.
    • High-availability configurations and strong SLAs for enterprise deployments.
    • Data encryption at rest and in-transit, role-based access management, and audit logging for compliance and data protection.
  • Analyze and benchmark FSS performance with leading AI/ML workloads (
  • Identify opportunities to scale efficiently while driving costs down 
  • Develop technical collateral, performance sizing guidelines, and architectural blueprints for running AI/ML workloads at scale using FSS.
  • Represent Oracle and FSS at technical conferences, workshops, and customer briefings—showcasing how FSS enables breakthrough machine learning outcomes via high-performance storage.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA a plus.
  • 15+ years of product management experience, including significant experience in enterprise storage, file systems, cloud infrastructure, or data platform products.
  • Deep technical knowledge of NFS/SMB protocols, POSIX compliance, storage scaling strategies, and data security practices.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI/ML data pipelines, distributed ML training and the storage performance demands of ML frameworks.
  • Experience leveraging benchmarks and analytics to guide technical feature planning and drive continuous performance improvements in storage services.
  • Comfort with a narrative style document driven culture 
  • Exceptional communication and cross-functional leadership skills; ability to engage with both senior engineers and business stakeholders.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $115,400 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
