Job Purpose:
The Senior Product Manager for Sauna & Emerging Opportunities will lead product strategy, development, and commercialization across the growing wellness and sauna category, expanding into new adjacent opportunities in personal wellness, recovery, and relaxation. This individual will combine creative problem-solving and business acumen to deliver differentiated, profitable products that align with Homedics' vision of promoting wellness through innovation. Connected product experience is preferred but not required; curiosity and the ability to integrate emerging technologies into consumer products is key.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Development
• Lead the product development process from concept through launch, partnering with industrial design, engineering, sourcing, and marketing.
• Develop product strategies and 3-year roadmaps for the portable sauna category and other emerging wellness opportunities (e.g., vibroacoustic, red-light, and recovery products).
• Identify consumer needs and emerging trends to shape new products that deliver a best-in-class wellness experience.
• Translate category insights into compelling feature sets, materials, and aesthetics that differentiate in market.
• Define pricing strategy, positioning, and competitive advantages.
Market & Business Analysis
• Conduct competitive research and pricing analysis to guide feature selection and margin management.
• Track product and category performance metrics, sales data, and consumer feedback to inform iterative improvements.
• Collaborate with Finance to manage product P&L, forecasting, and post-launch ROI evaluation.
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Collaborate daily with U.S. and Asia-based partners to drive NPD timelines, tooling approvals, testing, and production ramp-up.
• Align product development milestones with Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, Legal, and Marketing.
• Work with the PMO to ensure projects remain on time, on budget, and within scope.
Innovation & Emerging Technology Integration
• Monitor new technologies (infrared, red-light, vibration therapy, connectivity, content-driven wellness) and identify opportunities for integration into future products.
• Partner with internal and external engineering teams to assess feasibility and consumer value.
• For connected products, collaborate with app and content teams to define the user experience and lifecycle engagement.
Go-to-Market Readiness
• Support sales and marketing teams in product positioning, retail presentations, and trade show preparation.
• Serve as the product expert and storyteller, clearly communicating value propositions to internal and external partners.
• Manage key launch deliverables: packaging direction, instruction manuals, content, and imagery.
