Are you passionate about designing intuitive, AI powered experiences that help people discover, navigate, and make decisions about the physical world? Do you thrive at the intersection of user experience, data, and technology—turning ambiguous problems into clear, impactful products?
The Bing/Search Places team is reimagining how users explore and connect with places through search, maps, and AI driven experiences across Microsoft’s ecosystem. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager with strong consumer product instincts who can shape product direction through discovery and drive execution from concept to launch, owning outcomes end to end, with an eye toward delivering experiences that drive meaningful user actions and long term ecosystem value.
In addition, this role will play a key part in shaping commercial-intent user experiences - identifying moments where user needs align with business opportunity, and designing experiences that create long-term value for both users and the ecosystem. This includes exploring patterns that enable future monetization, while keeping user trust and experience quality as the primary objective.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
• Own and evolve end to end user experiences for Places scenarios & sub-verticals, with a focus on high-intent user journeys that drive meaningful user actions and ecosystem value, from problem definition through launch and iteration.
• Deeply understand customer pain points and lead product discovery through user research, data analysis, and partner feedback, translating insights into clear product bets.
• Identify and develop user-centric commercial-intent scenarios, ensuring experiences naturally support decision-making journeys (e.g., discovery → consideration → action) while unlocking future monetization opportunities without compromising UX quality.
• Partner across product, business, and monetization teams to align product strategy with long-term business outcomes, ensuring thoughtful integration of commercial signals into core user experiences.
• Partner closely with Design, Research, and Engineering to define intuitive user experiences and drive them to delivery.
• Define roadmaps and success metrics, breaking down ambiguous problems into shippable milestones and iterating based on learning.
• Use experimentation to validate hypotheses and inform prioritization and tradeoffs.
• Communicate product direction and outcomes clearly, influencing cross functional and cross org partners without direct authority.
• Balance long term vision with near term execution, making pragmatic decisions that maximize customer impact.
• Model Microsoft’s culture and values, fostering inclusiveness, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
