Texture is building the operating system for modern energy operations—one system to see, coordinate, and run the grid as distributed energy, electrification, and large new loads reshape everything.
As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll own critical product areas that help modern energy companies—utilities, VPP operators, retail energy providers, and grid services teams—monitor, coordinate, and run their operations in a single workspace. You’ll translate complex operational reality (meters, devices, sites, grid topology, events, dispatch, reporting, and compliance) into clear, shippable product direction—and ship with a fast, high-ownership team.
What you’ll help deliver:
An intuitive control center for grid operations—where teams can see an issue, act, and confirm the result without switching systems
Intelligence and automation that turn grid signal into action: anomaly detection, prioritization, recommended next steps, and workflow automation
End-to-end operational workflows across grid operations (coordination, dispatch/telemetry, performance, reporting, and auditability)
Utility-grade platform capabilities: data ingestion/modeling, auditability, access controls, reliability, and security-by-design
Cross-surface experiences spanning dashboards/analytics, maps & topology, operational tables, alerts, and collaboration
You’ll be responsible for:
Owning product strategy and execution for one or more core areas (e.g., program operations, grid visibility, dispatch/telemetry, reporting, data modeling)
Turning messy real-world problems into crisp product bets: problem framing, success metrics, sequencing, and clear tradeoffs
Working deeply with engineering and design to ship: PRDs/specs, prototypes, edge cases, rollout plans, and iteration loops
Leading cross-functional execution: aligning stakeholders, unblocking the team, managing dependencies, and driving decisions from kickoff through delivery
Building operator-grade UX: fast, trustworthy, data-dense interfaces with clear states, audit trails, and predictable behavior
Defining the “system of action”: how insights become decisions, and decisions become actions (and how we prove outcomes)
Building AI-native operator experiences: human-in-the-loop automation, assistive copilots, and intelligence that’s explainable, auditable, and safe
Partnering with go-to-market and customer teams to capture feedback, de-risk releases, and tell a clear product story
Establishing product hygiene: roadmap clarity, dependency management, customer comms, and internal alignment
A high-agency product leader who can operate in ambiguity, move quickly, and raise the bar on product quality and outcomes.
You’ll thrive here if you:
Want to own the whole thing, not a slice of it
Can reason about complex systems (data, operations, workflow) and communicate simply
Make good decisions with imperfect information—and course-correct fast
Sweat the details that make software trustworthy for operators (states, permissions, auditability, failure modes)
Love collaborating with design and engineering as a single product team
Enjoy being customer-facing: discovery calls, workflow mapping, and turning feedback into product leverage
Requirements:
5+ years in product management, with experience shipping complex software (B2B, enterprise, platform, or workflow-heavy products)
Demonstrated ownership of product releases: planning and sequencing, quality bars, launch readiness, rollout/flagging, and post-release iteration
Proven ability to define and ship end-to-end workflows (not just isolated features)
Strong product thinking: crisp problem framing, prioritization, and measurable outcomes
Strong communication: clear writing, clear specs, and strong cross-functional alignment
Experience with energy, utilities, VPPs, DERMS, AMI/SCADA, GIS, or operational analytics
Experience building intelligent products (ML, rules engines, anomaly detection, or copilot-style workflows), including evaluation/metrics and human-in-the-loop design
Experience building SaaS product surfaces like activity feeds, notifications, inboxes, and real-time collaboration/multiplayer workflows
Experience shipping map-based and geo/spatial product experiences (layers, topology, geospatial search, and location-aware workflows)
Experience building data products: ingestion/modeling, data quality, governance, or auditability
Experience with security/compliance requirements in enterprise environments (SOC 2, SSO/SAML, RBAC, audit logs)
Technical fluency (APIs, event-driven systems, integrations) and comfort partnering deeply with engineering
Early-stage startup experience (0→1, building while scaling)
Sponsored team lunches (twice monthly, tied to demo days)
Flexible paid time off (20 days minimum encouraged annually)
12 weeks paid parental leave
Up to 2 weeks paid bereavement leave
Medical, dental, and vision fully covered for employees and families (employees contribute $1/month)
Company-provided life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability
Pre-tax benefits (FSA, HSA, commuter benefits, dependent care)
Well-being & mental health support
NYC preferred. Flexible for the right candidate.
