Job Description

About the Role

As a Group Product Manager, you will lead a portfolio of products, developing shared goals and strategies and guiding cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle. You will influence product teams using lean, agile and user-centered design principles to deliver user outcomes and drive value for the enterprise. 

What You’ll Do

  • Accelerate value delivery and shape team outcomes by bringing insights from a broad set of experiences

  • Create product strategies for your portfolio and collaborate closely with Product Managers and Balanced Teams to enhance user outcomes and drive business value

  • Guide teams through problem discovery and definition in new and complex spaces, clarifying opportunities and leading strategic alignment across multiple domains to deliver holistic business outcomes

  • Maintain effective communication and relationships with executive-level stakeholders, ensuring alignment on vision, strategy and measures of success

  • Partner with leaders to manage contracts and balance external spending against measurable business value to prioritize group strategies and delivery

  • Lead direct and indirect reports, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

  • Attract, develop and retain a team of product managers

  • Provide leadership and contribute to the Product practice to advance how Kohl’s approaches Product

  • Set measurable goals for teams and ensure direct reports are empowered and supported through clear communication, empathetic engagement and developmental opportunities

  • Additional tasks may be assigned



 

What Skills You Have

Required

  • Proven track record of delivering product experiences that drive expected results and outcomes

  • Experience leading product strategy and vision 

  • Expertise in making data-driven decisions, with a demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret metrics across a diverse portfolio of products

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships 

  • Expertise in navigating complex problem spaces and aligning cross-functional teams

  • Experience in managing teams and developing product managers

Preferred 

  • 7+ years of experience in product management or similar roles working on cross-disciplinary product teams

  • Experience leading people, teams or portfolios

  • Expertise in lean, agile and user-centered design methodologies 

  • Advanced training or equivalent practical experience in Product Management, Business, MIS, Computer Science or related fields

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
