As Product Manager III for R1’s Data Platform, you will own the vision, roadmap, and execution for a cloud-based framework that enables flexible, consistent client data acquisition, ensuring downstream consumer and client needs are met. You will serve as a subject matter expert in the platform and healthcare data, partnering closely with business leaders, internal customers, end users, Engineering, and Onboarding to gather requirements, define solution approaches, support data implementation and migration, and drive adoption. You will own all work intake and the product backlog, using Agile practices to negotiate priorities, manage feature delivery, track timelines, communicate progress, and proactively identify risks, remove blockers, and escalate issues as needed to deliver high-quality outcomes on time.

This position reports to the Sr Product Manager.

Here’s what you will experience working as a Product Manager III:

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for acquiring batch billing data into the R1 Data Platform, aligned to organizational goals.
  • Own and prioritize the Agile product backlog, making trade-offs on features and enhancements.
  • Gather and translate stakeholder needs (including persona interviews) into actionable requirements and product features.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery across the SDLC—technical design through development, testing, deployment—reviewing solutions and running stakeholder demos.
  • Track performance and feedback to drive improvements; report status, risks, opportunities, and ensure compliance with company policies and ethics standards.

Required Skills: 

  • 5+ years of product management experience is required, preferably in data quality or related fields 
  • Advanced SQL Experience (complex queries, data transformations, etc.) 
  • Strong understanding of data quality tools and techniques such as data profiling, cleansing, and data validation
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams 
  • Demonstrated exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail 
  • R1 business process subject matter expert with the ability to translate business requests into technical tasks 
  • Ability to work independently, across workstreams and prioritize end user value 
  • Experience leading a team of analysts and SQL developers is a plus 
  • Expert in Agile Scrum product development methodologies
  • Expert in project management methodologies
  • Understanding of cloud-based data systems such as Airflow, Snowflake or Databricks 
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $96,600.00 - $141,565.18 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%
