Description

Your Role

The Stellarus Product Management team defines technology products and brings them to market to help health plan customers improve cost, quality, experience, and growth. The Product Manager, Consultant owns product strategy, roadmap, and execution for platform and interoperability capabilities that enable secure, scalable data exchange in complex and regulated environments.

This role connects customer needs, business goals, and technical delivery—partnering closely with engineering, design, data, and compliance teams to deliver user-centric, value-driven digital solutions. With deep focus on APIs, integrations, and healthcare interoperability, this role drives the development and scaling of platform capabilities that support internal products, external partners, and nonprofit customers, while influencing priorities, trade-offs, and outcomes across multiple squads or a broader product area.

Our leadership model is about developing great leaders at all levels and creating opportunities for our people to grow – personally, professionally, and financially. We are looking for leaders that are energized by creative and critical thinking, building and sustaining high-performing teams, getting results the right way, and fostering continuous learning.

Responsibilities

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Own product strategy, roadmap, and execution for platform and interoperability capabilities, aligning priorities to customer needs, business goals, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead user discovery, persona development, and validation with technical stakeholders (e.g., developers, architects, customer technical leads) to define high-value problems and inform product direction
  • Own the product lifecycle across a broader product area or multiple squads, from ideation through launch, measurement, and iteration, with emphasis on APIs, integrations, and interoperability capabilities
  • Translate complex customer, regulatory, and business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and prioritized backlogs; align dependencies and trade-offs across teams
  • Partner with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver scalable, high-quality platform solutions, including APIs, system integrations, and shared platform capabilities
  • Translate healthcare payer needs and regulatory mandates (e.g., CMS, ONC) into actionable product requirements supporting standards such as FHIR, HL7, and X12
  • Define and evolve KPIs and product analytics (e.g., API uptime, latency, adoption, data exchange volume) to measure impact, guide prioritization, and drive continuous improvement
  • Lead go-to-market, enablement, and adoption efforts for platform capabilities, incorporating feedback loops to improve customer uptake and business value
  • Ensure product solutions align with privacy, security, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, Transparency in Coverage), proactively identifying risks and driving mitigation
  • Lead vendor evaluations, partner coordination, and build-vs-buy assessments as needed to support product strategy and delivery
  • Apply strong technical judgment to inform decisions and trade-offs, and act as a subject matter expert for platform and interoperability capabilities across stakeholders
  • Leverage AI-enabled capabilities across the product lifecycle, defining use cases, requirements, and success metrics while ensuring effective and responsible application

Qualifications

Your Knowledge and Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of relevant product management experience, including experience owning digital products across complex or regulated environments; healthcare, or enterprise platform experience strongly preferred
  • Strong experience shaping product strategy, roadmap, and execution across multiple squads or a broader product area
  • Strong experience delivering in Agile environments (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, or similar), including backlog management, dependency management, and cross-functional coordination
  • Strong proficiency translating customer, and business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Strong technical fluency in APIs, integrations, data flows, and platform architecture, with ability to partner effectively with engineering on technical trade-offs
  • Strong experience using data to define KPIs, implement product analytics, and inform prioritization and product decisions
  • Experience using AI-enabled capabilities across the product lifecycle to support discovery, decision-making, or product outcomes

Preferred

  • Hands-on experience with interoperability standards such as FHIR R4, HL7, and X12, and familiarity with the payer or health plan ecosystem
  • Experience translating regulatory mandates into product requirements and roadmap decisions
