As a Product Manager,. Applications at Gator Bio, this individual will play a critical role at the intersection of science, market strategy, and commercial execution. The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with a practical, customer-first mindset and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We prefer candidates based in or willing to relocate to our Palo Alto office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Applications Strategy & Roadmap
- Own and manage the applications development roadmap for Gator Bio products across target end-user segments.
- Identify and prioritize the best application opportunities based on market size, customer pain points, competitive differentiation, and revenue potential.
- Define business cases for new application development and upgrades, including value proposition, pricing, and positioning.
- Voice of Customer & Market Insight
- Conduct customer interviews and application deep-dives to identify unmet needs and feature opportunities.
- Maintain a structured VOC feedback loop in collaboration with field scientists, sales, and marketing.
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and user workflows to inform strategy and messaging.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with R&D to define application requirements, prioritize backlog, and align development with commercial needs.
- Work with Marketing Communications to build launch collateral, website content, and technical documentation.
- Train and support Field Application Scientists (FAS) and Sales teams on new applications effectively.
- Commercial Enablement
- Develop and deliver strong, differentiated demonstrations and value propositions for Gator Bio products across end-user applications.
- Develop launch plans, data sheets, application notes, and competitive battlecards.
- Track performance metrics (adoption, attach rates, renewal rates, feedback) and recommend corrective actions.
- Training & Support
- Work with Marketing Communications to build launch collateral and train the sales and FAS teams on new features, applications, and consumables use cases.
- Conferences & External Engagement
- Attend scientific conferences to learn new market needs, identify unmet needs, and present Gator Bio solutions effectively.
- Collaborate with customers and external partners to co-develop applications.
- Work with marketing and other Product Managers to deliver application notes to market.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biophysics, or related field; advanced degree (MS or PhD) preferred.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in product management, applications, or marketing in life science tools or analytical instrumentation.
- Demonstrated success managing consumables, reagents, or related products.
- Strong understanding of biophysical analysis workflows (BLI, SPR, ELISA, etc.) preferred.
- Experience with agile product development, software release cycles, or SaaS-like delivery models a plus.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with ability to translate between technical and commercial teams.
- Proactive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Fluency in mandarin language preferred.

$150,000 - $155,000 a year
