Product Manager

We are searching for an experienced Product Manager to support the future of Equifax’s Ignite Ecosystem. This person will support in leading product strategy, market success, and driving significant business outcomes. The role will rely heavily on customer research and market expertise to find solutions to real-world problems and mature our solutions. This role will collaborate within our Product team and across the organization to articulate a clear understanding of our offerings, provide important customer and market context to inform decision-making, and deliver new solutions throughout the product life cycle, alongside Product leadership.
 

This position works closely across the Product Organization, Technical Product Management, Engineering, Sales and Marketing, Legal and Compliance, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to deliver complete solutions. The right individual will thrive on problem solving, be comfortable leading interactions with new/prospective partners and will maintain close collaboration with internal peers to drive forward new product functionality. A curious nature, passion for helping users and a rich natural interest in technology and software are all must-have attributes. 

What you’ll do

Keys functions this role is responsible for is as follows:

• Support in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements 

• Maintain a prioritized backlog

• Translate business needs into clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria

• Work with stakeholders to manage expectations and communicate fulfillment dates

• Support in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospective meetings

• Intake, understand, and define requirements that support enhancement requests

• Review and sign-off on the alignment of deliverables to requirements

• Coordinate releases with technology

• Work with Ignite cross-functional partners to understand and implement agreed upon enhancements that arise from roadmap prioritizations

What experience you need:

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered; Product Management certifications is a plus

• 4-7 years of product owner/manager experience or related coursework and project based experience

• Experience writing detailed product requirements is fundamental and required and must demonstrate a solid understanding of product design, commercial model and packaging discussions

• Possesses a deep understanding of customer needs through market and industry research and analysis of competitors

• Can use strong knowledge of competitive landscape to anticipate, articulate and drive high-potential opportunities that demonstrate competitive advantage

• Is capable of setting the vision and ensure its alignment with strategy and goals

• Interact with key decisions-makers within own function and across related functions to successfully navigate Equifax’ organization

• Has an understanding of data structure &, data analytics, relevant experience in financial services is a plus

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

What could set you apart:

• Demonstrated ability to lead efforts in a highly matrixed environment

• Experience in Product tools required (Aha, JIRA, Figma)

• You have been exposed to SaaS products, web or mobile application development

• You possess familiarity with UX/UI best practices

• You are a self-starter who takes initiative with minimal direction, and understands concepts quickly

• You understand the value of product management and can effectively communicate to various stakeholders

• You have an aptitude for handling multiple, concurrent demands and prioritizing responsibilities in a dynamic, high energy environment
