About the Role
We're looking for a Product Manager who thinks like a founder. You'll work at the intersection of learning science, family needs, and engineering; turning deep user insight into software that genuinely improves outcomes for students across the country.
We’re seeking someone who gets close to learners and families, finds the real problem underneath the surface request, and shapes elegant solutions before a single line of code is written. You'll sit at the center of a small, fast, and genuinely excellent team. Your fingerprints will be on everything.
Your Immediate Impact
- Define product vision and strategy from deep user insight.
- Apply Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) to reveal what families hire our platform to achieve—real progress in learning, not just features.
- Shape work in the spirit of Shape Up: set appetite, narrow problems, outline solutions before building, drive meaningful progress in fixed cycles.
- Liaise between departments (learning, partnerships, marketing, operations, etc.) to gather requirements, align priorities, and ensure product decisions support cross-functional goals.
- Collaborate closely with the small team to build, launch, and iterate high-impact features.
- Prioritize ruthlessly, run experiments, measure real outcomes.
- Mentor through action and open feedback.
Success Metrics:
- Features you champion drive measurable improvements in student outcomes and family satisfaction.
- Engineering and cross-functional teams describe you as a force multiplier; someone who makes their work clearer and better.
- You're consistently identifying problems before they become urgent, and solutions before they become obvious.
- The product roadmap reflects hard choices, not safe ones.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years in product management, ideally in edtech, consumer products, or mission-driven organizations.
- You have a proven track record launching features users love that drive measurable impact
- You're fluent in Jobs-to-be-Done / ShapeUp and comfortable with appetite-based, cycle-driven approaches
- You have strong product sense: you're better at insight and elegant strategy than at organizational navigation.
- You've worked across departments in a small or growing team, and you know how to drive alignment without authority.
- You're genuinely passionate about education and believe personalized learning can change lives.
- You're action-oriented, transparent, and ego-free.
This Role Will Excite You IF:
- You'd rather talk to 10 families than read 10 analyst reports.
- You've been frustrated by slow-moving, process-heavy product orgs, and you want to build something faster and leaner.
- You have opinions about what's broken in edtech and a genuine hypothesis about how to fix it.
- You get energy from owning outcomes
- The idea of occasionally sitting in a student support queue to understand the experience firsthand sounds exciting, not uncomfortable.
Team & Autonomy:
You'll report directly to our CTO and work alongside a small engineering team. You'll have real autonomy over what gets built and why, paired with real accountability for outcomes.
Company Benefits:
- Competitive salary $170k-$210k and 401k plan + company matching opportunities.
- Comprehensive Health Benefits: Health insurance package including medical, dental, vision, life, critical illness, accident, STD/LTD, HSA, and FSA with dependent care.
- Flexible Work Arrangement: We’re a fully remote workforce that emphasizes a healthy work-life balance by allowing some autonomy in work hours.
- Generous Paid Time Off policy, enabling you to recharge, spend quality time with loved ones, and pursue personal interests outside of work.
- Supportive Team Environment: Join a supportive and collaborative team environment where your contributions are valued, and teamwork is encouraged, fostering a culture of success and mutual respect.
