We’re proud to be one of the top ESOP administration firms in the nation, serving a diverse range of companies that believe in sharing success with their people.

Whether remote or based in one of our seven offices across the country, our team members work together with a shared mission: to make it easy for retirement plan professionals and sponsors to provide wealth-building benefits to business owners and their employees.

We are looking for a Product Manager

The Product Manager plays a critical role in driving the success of key technology platform initiatives that support multiple business units (verticals) across Blue Ridge Associates. This individual serves as the link between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring that products align with organizational objectives, client expectations, and regulatory requirements particularly within the retirement services industry.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in agile delivery, backlog management, and translating complex business and regulatory needs into actionable development tasks. A minimum of 4 years of experience in retirement services is strongly preferred.

Essential Functions

  • Product Vision: Define and communicate a clear vision and strategy for the value stream, aligning with company goals and the unique needs of staff, clients and participants.
  • Product Backlog Management: Own, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog to ensure the highest value features are delivered. Collaborate with stakeholders to define, refine, and rank user stories and product enhancements.
  • Agile Delivery Leadership: Serve as the product owner in agile development teams, participating actively in sprint planning, team meetings, and retrospectives. Ensure timely and effective delivery of product increments by removing obstacles and making informed decisions.
  • Business Needs Analysis: Work closely with internal (including plan administrators, finance, and support staff) and external stakeholders (including plan sponsors, recordkeepers, auditors and compliance teams) to understand business drivers, regulatory changes, and client requirements. Translate these needs into clear product requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between business units and technical teams. Communicate product vision, priorities, and progress to executives, clients, and team members.
  • Developer Collaboration: Clarify user stories and features such as recordkeeping, contributions, distributions, reporting, and compliance checks. Provide ongoing support to developers for implementation and answer questions to remove obstacles.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze product performance, adoption and user feedback to identify opportunities for process and feature improvements. Drive ongoing enhancements in product functionality and user experience.
