Red Hat is looking for a Principal/Sr. Principal Product Manager to join us in Raleigh, Boston or remotely. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate, innovative, and has a strong drive to lead our Edge management product. This is a high ownership role with significant scope. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a product that helps our customers in a unified means of provisioning, configuring, managing, and deploying onto disparate edge compute devices globally. You'll work with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, marketers, and sales to deliver a product that solves real-world challenges and meets the highest standards of security, compliance, and performance that delights our users.
This role requires a deep understanding of Edge computing, experience in design, development and deploying reliable distributed solutions that operate at scale. You must have a good understanding of on-premises infrastructure, hybrid cloud technologies, regulatory compliance, and market trends in Edge computing. This is a great opportunity to develop our strategy for our sovereign cloud offering and work alongside some of the brightest minds in open source.
What You Will Do
Define the vision and strategy for our Edge management product, ensuring it aligns with our company goals and market opportunities
Drive key product decisions that impact device management for Industrial, Energy, Retail, Healthcare, DoD, Transportation sites globally
Develop robust, highly available, scalable Edge management systems, at tremendous scale
Conduct in-depth market analysis to understand customer needs and feedback, competitive landscape, and industry trends, and collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders teams to implement features, and enhancements following agile development practices
Translate customer insights into a compelling product roadmap and detailed requirements
Work with engineering and product teams to lead the design of scalable, secure, and compliant infrastructure, management capabilities, prioritization, execution and manage product lifecycles
Define and analyze key product metrics to measure success and inform future decisions
Evangelize Red Hat’s Edge strategy and solution with customers, partners, analysts and media
Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to lead product releases, develop go-to-market strategies, manage strategic product positioning, product messaging, sales enablement materials, and serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, managing customer relationships, and feedback
Define pricing and business models for regulated infrastructure
Drive customer adoption and retention through value-driven product enhancements
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and optimize offerings
Build strategic relationships with local infrastructure providers, and technology partners
What You Will Bring
15+ years of experience in product management, cloud computing, or related fields
Deep understanding of edge computing, AI, IoT, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems
Deep understanding of Edge platforms, Edge Management at scale across multiple verticals, and hybrid cloud environments
Experience in working with industries such as Industrial, Energy, Defense, Retail, healthcare, or finance
Proven track record of driving long-term product strategy, roadmaps, and market adoption
Ability to lead cross-functional teams across engineering, product, sales, and marketing, security, and legal teams
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Experience with security certifications / standards (e.g. ISO 27001, FedRAMP, SOC 2, NIST, FIPs, etc.)
Familiarity with Red Hat’s portfolio
Bachelor's or graduate degree preferably in computer science, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
Willingness to travel up to 25%

The salary range for this position is $131,420.00 - $216,870.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
