About the Role:

As Principal Product Manager - Content, you will lead critical initiatives around next-generation content readiness supporting  key content partnership while ensuring robust intellectual property compliance, data pipeline optimization, and copyright risk mitigation for AI and genAI applications. You will also play a vital role in supporting and driving strategy for a wider array of high-priority content, data, and publisher infrastructure-related projects. You will report to the Senior Product Director.

Collaborating closely with our newsrooms and strategic partners, we spearhead the development of groundbreaking products and technologies.

You Will:

  • Define the vision for content and rights architecture, including genAI rights models and how licensed content is exposed, measured, and safely used

  • Lead content availability and readiness for large-scale partnerships, setting standards and decision frameworks for licensing priorities, data quality, delivery speed, ingestion reliability, and AI IP compliance

  • Drive modernization of content, data, and publisher infrastructure with scalable, compliant pipelines and workflows

  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders and partner closely with Legal, Editorial, Content Analysts, Engineering, and Partnerships to design compliant, scalable solutions

  • Translate technical possibilities into business impact, applying data-driven analysis and new frameworks to solve complex challenges

  • Lead a cross-functional agile team with clear documentation, focused success metrics, and systematic troubleshooting to ensure reliable, high-quality delivery

You Have:

  • 10+ years’ Product Management experience driving strategic vision, executive-level influence, and systems-level leadership for complex, high-impact product portfolios

  • Deep technical understanding of complex data pipelines, content ingestion workflows, and publisher infrastructure systems

  • Experience establishing comprehensive KPI and metrics tracking frameworks from scratch for new, undefined product areas, using data-driven analysis to inform prioritization

  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-scale data integration or content delivery platforms while navigating significant ambiguity and technical complexities

  • Prior experience working directly with digital publishing infrastructure, data management, or content licensing systems

  • Prior experience navigating copyright compliance, intellectual property licensing, or working directly with Legal/Editorial teams on AI content risk (strong plus)

  • Technical comfort with SQL and BI tools to drive self-service data discovery (a plus)

Base Pay Range: $150,000 - $185,000
