The Engineering Systems team supports nearly 2000 developers from around the world across dozens of products, experiences, and technologies. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to take our efforts to improve developer efficiency, productivity, and happiness to the next level, helping the organization deliver more value faster to our customers. You must have a passion for the nuts and bolts of building hyperscale software. This role requires deep technical knowhow (systems architecture, build and test methodologies) as well as strong interpersonal and organizational skills (to define and ‘sell’ improved processes and tools to our customers).
You will help define the technology, tools, and processes developers use to deliver some of the most used software and services on the planet. You will partner across Microsoft and the industry to evolve our engineering systems, working with a mix of Open Source Software (OSS), 1st party offerings (like Visual Studio, VSCode, GitHub), and custom tools and integrations. You must be customer obsessed and deeply understand and empathize with engineers. You must strike the right balance between process and agility, providing your customers with clear guidance and guardrails to ensure all facets of business success. This is a highly collaborative role with emphasis on partnership across PM and Engineering to deliver impact together.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.
