About Strada
Strada is building the operating layer for AI-driven insurance.
Our platform deploys expert AI agents across calls, texts, emails, and chat – running core front-office workflows from policy servicing to claims intake. With a singular focus on insurance, Strada offers domain expertise and product depth that generic AI platforms can't match.
Backed by Y Combinator and top-tier investors, Strada automates millions of customer interactions for leading insurers, MGAs, and brokers representing $10B+ in annual premiums. The industry is moving past experimentation to focus on deploying AI in production and at scale. We intend to win that race.
We're a small, high-ownership team based in San Francisco, already embedded in production systems at sophisticated insurance organizations. If you want to move fast, solve hard problems, and shape the future of a massive industry, let's chat.
Why Insurance?
Insurance quietly powers the global economy. It helps businesses stay open, families recover from disasters, and entire industries manage risk. But the way insurance operates hasn't changed in decades. Many frontline workflows still rely on phone calls and legacy systems.
We're building AI that plugs into those processes and makes them radically faster, smarter, and more efficient. It's a $300B+ market ripe for innovation.
The Role
We're looking for a Founding Product Manager to own agent development - the core of what Strada does. You'll work at the intersection of customer operations, AI capabilities, and product strategy to define and ship the agents that run real insurance workflows at scale.
This isn't a traditional PM role. You'll be hands-on: leading customer calls, designing workflow evals, optimizing prompts, and working directly with engineers to ship. You'll own the full product lifecycle - from identifying what to build to defining success after it's live.
As a founding team member, you'll have direct influence over the product roadmap and how Strada goes to market with AI agents.
What you'll get done in the first week
Shadow live customer calls and review real conversations to understand how our AI agents handle thousands of insurance workflows daily
Get deep in the product - understand the current agent architecture, tooling, and the gaps we're solving for
Meet the team and identify where you can have an immediate impact
What you'll do in your first 30 days
Deploy your first agent end-to-end – from identifying the problem to solve to writing the spec to shipping to production
Conduct structured conversations with customers to surface workflow friction and unmet needs
Develop a working knowledge of the insurance domain – the systems, the stakeholders, and the operational constraints that shape what our agents need to do
What you'll do in your first 90 days
Own the agent development roadmap – prioritize what we build, when, and why
Define and instrument the metrics that matter: containment, accuracy, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency
Translate patterns across customer deployments into generalizable product decisions that scale across our book of business
Be a real voice in company strategy – shaping how Strada positions and packages AI agents for carriers, MGAs, and brokers
What You'll Need
3-7+ years of experience in product management or a closely related role
Proven ability to ship technical products: you've worked closely with engineers and know how to write a tight spec that gets built
Strong communication skills: you can translate complex AI concepts to insurance executives and translate messy operational workflows back to engineers
Experience working directly with customers in a technical capacity – discovery, scoping, demos, feedback loops
Track record of owning projects end-to-end in fast-moving environments with high autonomy
Nice to Have
Experience with prompt engineering or building with LLM/AI platforms
Some coding experience with TypeScript or React
Prior experience in insurance, fintech, or similarly regulated industries
Background at an early-stage startup where you wore multiple hats
