As a Product Manager within the Consumer Deposit Product team, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

 

This Financial Product Manager role sits within Consumer Bank’s Core Financial Products and Pricing team at JPMorgan Chase, focusing on fee-based products and services. The Deposit Services & Fees team manages multiple consumer products generating over $3 billion in annual non-interest revenue. You will support product development, strategy, data visualization, customer experience, and risk and control processes for the Cash Flow Management strategy. Success requires balancing customer experience with business priorities, thinking strategically, implementing with discipline, and collaborating across internal stakeholders.

 

Job responsibilities

  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
  • Track industry trends and competitors, deepen knowledge of consumer regulations, and present findings and recommendations to leadership
  • Lead product strategy, pricing, and customer experience initiatives
  • Develop key metrics and perform business analysis to guide decisions
  • Coordinate stakeholders and drive consensus, managing risk and control processes

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Demonstrate strong general management and leadership skills, successfully guiding large organizations through significant changes.
  • Communicate effectively with structured thinking, delivering excellent written communication and presentations for both strategic and tactical audiences.
  • Think strategically and connect the dots to the bigger picture, while diving into details to ensure successful execution.
  • Define product strategy using analytical analysis to identify trends and highlight relevant metrics and insights.
  • Build effective, trust-based relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to influence outcomes and drive accountability without formal authority.

  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects independently, balancing competing business and technical priorities.
  • Demonstrate a strong grasp of industry landscapes, marketplace dynamics, and regulatory environments.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree; pursuing/obtained an MBA or other advanced degree for added distinction
