Job Description:
The Associate Product Manager will support the Product Manager in the planning, development, and implementation of compliance-related features within our SmartCare EMR platform. This role is ideal for someone early in their product career who is eager to learn and contribute to meaningful healthcare technology solutions. The Associate will assist in go-to-market activities, product testing, documentation, and customer engagement.
Responsibilities of the Associate Product Manager:
Assist in the execution of product features related to CCBHC and state compliance requirements.
Support the Product Manager in gathering and documenting product requirements from stakeholders.
Write and maintain user stories, test scripts, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
Participate in product testing and validation to ensure quality and compliance.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers on basic design tasks and wireframes.
Help prepare user documentation, training materials, and internal knowledge bases.
Help support live customers on the assigned modules.
Join customer-facing meetings to gather feedback and support product demonstrations.
Track and report on product development progress and user feedback.
Stay informed on compliance trends and behavioral health regulations.
Requirements for the Associate Product Manager:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in one of the following: Health Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience. 1–3 years of experience in a product support, business analysis, or QA role, preferably in healthcare or EMR software.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product development lifecycle.
Basic understanding of healthcare compliance, CCBHC standards, or behavioral health reporting is a plus.
Experience with tools like Devops, Zendesk, UI/UX Wireframing tools, or similar is preferred.
Exposure to SQL or data analysis tools.
Experience writing user documentation or training materials.
Interest in behavioral health and healthcare technology.
Adaptability and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Proactive mindset with a strong work ethic – willing to dive into complex challenges and take initiative without waiting for direction
