Microsoft Casual Games is seeking a strategic and technically adept Advertising Technology & Privacy Product Manager with experience in the advertising technology landscape to drive impactful solutions at the intersection of privacy, addressability, and measurement. This role will support the development and execution of privacy-compliant ad tech capabilities across our desktop, web, and mobile gaming ecosystem. Focus will be on not only aligning with but actively exceeding evolving regulatory standards, platform policies, and internal goals across all ad tech features—including privacy, identity, addressability, measurement, and fraud—through a rigorous commitment to compliance and innovation.

  • Drive the product vision and roadmap for privacy, identity, consent management, and ad tech hygiene—including viewability, fraud mitigation, and measurement—across user-facing surfaces.
  • Translate privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CPRA, COPPA) into actionable product and engineering requirements to ensure compliant and reliable feature delivery.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, design, QA, legal, ad ops, and business teams to launch ad tech capabilities with high execution quality.
  • Lead program operations including stakeholder coordination, structured rollout planning, bug triage, and maintenance of up-to-date, clear documentation.
  • Define KPIs and success metrics across privacy, addressability, and hygiene features, leveraging BI tools to create dashboards, set alerts, and analyze performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 4+ years of experience in advertising technology, with knowledge of programmatic advertising, identity, and privacy.
  • 4+ years experience the advertising technology ecosystem, including key components such as ad servers, SSPs (Sell Side Platforms), DSPs, (Demand Side Platform) and oRTB (Open Real-Time Bidding).
  • 4+ years experience working with privacy policies and regulations, such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), CPRA, (California Privacy Rights Act) COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), etc., and ensuring compliance and transparency
  • 4+ years experience using network debugging tools, including browser developer consoles Fiddler, Charles Proxy, or related tool to analyze and troubleshoot client-server interactions.
  • 4+ years experience building and using analysis dashboards using data visualization software and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience defining feature specifications, setting priorities, and managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience creating, organizing, tracking, communicating, and generally driving initiatives to completion amongst cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the IAB Open Measurement SDK (OM SDK), ad viewability, measurement methodologies, along with key performance signals and KPIs.
  • Experience with mobile, video/CTV, or gaming ad ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft ad platforms and internal tools.
  • Written communication skills and experience creating QA playbooks or technical documentation.

 

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
